Are you ready to jump into the exciting and dynamic world of information security? Alva Labs is looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our Information Security team this spring. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work directly with our CIO, and help protect the integrity of a platform used by companies around the world.

Alva Labs was founded in 2017 and offers a digital candidate assessment solution that helps over 600 companies worldwide drive more accurate and efficient hiring processes. Our platform provides Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters, and Hiring teams the insights to make confident and efficient hiring decisions while delivering a high-quality candidate experience. At the same time, we provide candidates with the means to demonstrate their full potential to employers.

Security is at the core of what we do—our mission to modernize recruitment is deeply tied to safeguarding our platform and users’ data. This internship will allow you to dive into meaningful security projects and contribute directly to making our systems safer and more robust.

What You’ll Do

As an Information Security Intern, you’ll work closely with our CIO and operations team, focusing on real-world security challenges. Your tasks will vary based on your interests, but they could include:

• Security process improvements: Analyze and refine our existing security protocols to enhance system resilience.
• Compliance and risk management: Assist in managing compliance requirements and assessing risk areas across our systems.
• Hands-on IT-security work: Solve practical challenges related to IT-security in a cloud-based architecture.
• Data protection and privacy: Contribute to safeguarding user data with best practices in data protection.

You’ll have regular mentorship meetings and support from experienced team members to ensure your learning is impactful and engaging. This is a fast-paced environment where your ideas and efforts will be valued.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative. You don’t need to be an expert—interest and curiosity go a long way. We’ll provide the tools, support, and guidance you need to thrive.

What we’re looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a YH-education program (sv. yrkeshögskola) or a similar educational pathway that includes a mandatory internship component, ideally with a focus on Information Security or IT Security with a internship period of 10 weeks minimum.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• A passion for information and IT-security.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-moving team.
• Fluency in English, no need to speak Swedish for this position.
