Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of IT project management? Alva Labs is looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our Operations team this fall. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work directly with our CIO, and contribute to projects that enhance the efficiency, security, and structure of our IT-related initiatives.

This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work on impactful IT projects, improving workflows, processes, and coordination efforts across our organization.

What You’ll Do

As an IT Project Management Intern, you’ll work closely with our CIO and operations team, collaborating on projects that bridge IT project management and information security. Your tasks will vary based on your interests, but they could include:

• Management systems and process improvements: Within areas like AI, information security, accessibility, recruitment and privacy. You will assist in the development and maintenance of IT management frameworks.
• Compliance and risk management: Support efforts to maintain compliance with industry standards and contribute to risk assessments across IT and governance functions.
• Aligning operation activities to business objectives: Contribute to initiatives that enhance governance operations and processes from a business perspective.
• IT project coordination: Help structure and oversee IT-related projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and documentation.

We are also looking for an Information Security Intern to join at the same time or in overlapping periods. While your primary focus will be IT project management, there will be opportunities to collaborate, share insights, and support each other on projects that connect information security and IT process management.

You’ll receive mentorship and guidance from experienced team members, ensuring a meaningful learning experience. This is a dynamic environment where your contributions will make a real impact.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative. You don’t need to be an expert—interest and curiosity go a long way. We’ll provide the tools, support, and guidance you need to thrive.

What we’re looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a YH-education program (sv. yrkeshögskola) or a similar educational pathway that includes a mandatory internship component, ideally with a focus on IT Project Management, IT Governance, or a related field, with an internship period of 8 weeks minimum.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• A passion for project management, process development, and structured IT initiatives.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-moving team.
• Fluency in English, no need to speak Swedish for this position.
